How well a window insulates
The lower, the better
Uw measures how much heat passes through the whole window: the lower it is, the less you spend on heating. Values depend on the glass and frame chosen.
Indicative values for a two-leaf window with triple glazing: the real data are in each manufacturer's sheets, and we give them to you with the quote.

What people ask us
Can windows be replaced without building work?
Often yes, fitting onto the existing frame. We decide at the survey, looking at the sub-frame.
Are there rules in historic centres?
In many Tuscan towns, yes: materials and colours must be agreed. We help you choose windows that meet your council's rules.
How long is the wait?
Five to ten weeks depending on material and size. The date is in the quote.
